Like all molluscs the snail has a muscular foot for movement and, like most molluscs, it also has a shell for protection. Other features include 2 pairs of tentacles, the larger pair situated higher on the head, have eyes on their tips, whereas the smaller pair act as chemoreceptors sensing the surrounding environment and the suitability of food.
